Stilo's Joe Gollner to deliver keynote at Web Content 2009

Presentation takes place on June 15, 2009

May 29, 2009, Swindon, United Kingdom

Stilo's Joe Gollner, VP - Enterprise Publishing Solutions, is to deliver a keynote address at Web Content 2009, being held June 15-16, 2009 at Gleacher Executive Conference Centre, Chicago.

Joe's keynote, entitled ‘Beyond Publishing: Exploring What We Are Really Doing With Web Content’, opens the conference and will look more closely at how we have moved beyond publishing and now need to figure out what it is that we are really doing with web content. Many things have changed and behind each change is a history that can be weaved into a larger story and used to explain at least some of what we can now do. What seems critical, though, is that we must acknowledge that we are no longer just publishing content. In fact, we are not just publishing personalized content. We are doing something more. And when we look into this topic more closely we can see that there are more changes visible on the horizon. Looking backwards and forwards, drawing on distant examples and recent experiences, this presentation will try to explain what lies beyond publishing and the tremendous power that is becoming possible.

Joe will be back later in the day to deliver a 2-hour workshop entitled, ‘Engineering Web Content: A Workshop in Two Parts’. As the title suggests, this workshop will be modularized into two parts with part one focusing on the acquisition and enrichment of web content and part two focusing on the delivery of highly personalized and highly intelligent content to a wide range of “consumers”. Both parts of the workshop will leverage real-world case studies to illustrate concepts and to showcase what has been attempted before, for better or for worse.

You can see Joe's keynote at Web Content 2009 on Monday, June 15, 8.30am - 9.15am. Joe’s workshop is later the same day, 2.00pm – 4.00pm. For more information on both of Joe’s sessions and to register, visit the Conference Website.

About Web Content 2009:
Consumers are flooded with information created and delivered using outdated tactics. Poorly-targeted pitches and mass messaging are being replaced by laser-targeted, measurable methods that promise to deliver the right information, to the right people, at the right time, in the right format and language. This requires new thinking. So, we're bringing together nationally-recognized technology, design, content, and marketing authorities at Web Content 2009 Chicago, June 15-16, at Gleacher Executive Conference Center, to help you understand how global organizations are “Delivering Personalized Dynamic Web Content”.
