Impact Analysis (Core Module)

Overview

Assessing the impact of product change in SAPPrior to making changes to a product, part, bill of material, routings and other objects in the SAP ERP environment, organisations are often required to carry out an impact analysis or feasibility study to determine the potential impact of the proposed changes.

For many organisations, carrying out such an analysis often involves a lengthy and error prone manual process of reviewing multiple SAP transactions and exporting data into a standalone evaluation tool such as Excel.

Stilo's  Impact Analysis module on the other hand, integrates fully within your SAP ERP environment to help organisations identify and address every conceivable impact of a product change quickly and cost-effectively.  Instead of running a large number of transactions, the Impact Analysis module enables the user to perform just one transaction to evaluate the impact of change across all departments, including engineering, manufacturing and supply chain logistics.

The module identifies, for all objects managed by the SAP system, all configuration management items such as associated parts, bills of materials, routings and documents (i.e. drawings, models, specifications, manuals, datasheets) affected by the proposed change.  These items are then applied to logistics data such as open sales orders, purchase requisitions or orders, production orders and inventory levels.  The result is a picture of when, how and indeed, whether or not a part change should be introduced and a clearer understanding of the costs associated with making a change.  Responsbility for actions can then be assigned and users notified accordingly.
