Stilo delivers a fully streaming content processing platform with OmniMark 8

Stilo International today announces OmniMark 8: Streaming Unlimited. This latest version of OmniMark represents its most significant technical advance in a decade, bringing to fruition the company's vision of delivering a fully streaming content processing platform.

OmniMark's streaming architecture has always been the foundation on which its power and performance have been built. That architecture has made it the tool of choice for large scale content processing applications in industries as diverse as publishing, automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, and government. Now OmniMark 8's breakthrough Streaming Unlimited technology extends that streaming architecture to permit developers to plug and play fully streaming content filters to build sophisticated content processing applications with minimal effort.

No longer do developers of content processing applications have to make a choice between ease of use on the one hand and performance and scalability on the other. With OmniMark 8 and Streaming Unlimited, the most natural algorithm to solve any problem is also the most high-performance scalable algorithm. Continuing Stilo's commitment to make OmniMark the content processing tool of choice, the OmniMark 8 platform continues to keep pace with the latest standards. OmniMark 8 adds support for XQuery, Oracle 9i and 10g, and Documentum 5.2. It also updates the support for XSLT and RTF to the latest versions. Significant performance improvements have also been made in the OmniMark engine, especially in the core pattern matching technology.
