# p.title.navigation

## Syntax

**p.title.navigation**

## Purpose

The p.title.navigation annotation is used to tag a paragraph that will act as the topic title in navigation elements. This overrides the topic’s title in a table of contents, index, or other navigation element.

When no alternate title is applied, the topic’s default title is used for navigation instead.

## Examples
